Park Rules

New Center Park is a private park open to the public during scheduled events. The park is not currently open to the public outside of our summer film series on Friday evenings or for other special events.

Movie start times change throughout the summer depending on sunset—please keep the following in mind:

JUNE: Doors open at 7:30 p.m. | Films start at Dusk.
JULY: Doors open at 7:30 p.m. | Films start at Dusk.
AUGUST: Doors open at 7:30 p.m. | Films start at Dusk.

Park closes 15 minutes after movie ends.

  • Entry is free and on a first-come, first-welcomed basis.

  • Capacity limits may be enforced. Announcements will be made on this website and on our social media channels in advance of any film presentation.

  • Do your part to keep our park clean. If you have trash, make sure the trash gets into a trash container.

YOU CAN:

  • Bring a picnic blanket or use the chairs provided by the Park.

  • Bring well-behaved children to any park event.

  • Take photos with no flash.

SORRY:

  • No park furniture should be moved.

  • No outside food or drink.

  • No smoking.

  • No pets. Only service dogs allowed.

  • No bicycles in the park, please use the bike racks located outside of the park.

  • No loud talking, noise or cell phone use during movies.

  • For everyone's comfort, we do not permit personal amplified music at any time.

  • If you or anyone in your party is in need of Open Captioning, please email info@midtowndetroitinc.org 24hrs prior to the film.

  • New Center Park is not available to book for concerts, weddings, or parties.

  • All showings are booked by the park and its partners.
