The WXMD Summer Solstice Event is back and will feature singer Guordan Banks with R&B songstress and award-winning actress, Demetria McKinney. Philadelphia native Guordan Banks is a songwriter and contemporary R&B balladeer with a smooth, Mildly raspy delivery. His mood-diverse debut EP/mixtape "A Song for Everyone" appeared in 2014 and offered performances by Ayo and rappers Meek Mill, Omelly, and Wale. It was released on Mill's Dream Chasers Records. Ms. McKinney has played roles on the big and small screens, as well as the stage. She is a gifted singer with a rich voice and is a skillful songwriter. Widely known for her role as "Janine Payne" on the hit TBS sitcom Tyler Perry's House of Payne, can currently be seen on ABC Family in a recurring Devious Maids role, and on TV One as a primary character on The Rickey Smiley Show. She has also been a guest star on The Real Housewives of Atlanta airing on the Bravo Television Network.
